Prognostic significance of prolonged corrected QT interval in cerebral contusion
CONCLUSIONS: ECG changes on admission showing a prolonged QTc interval have prognostic significance in CC. This simple and easily applicable information should be taken into consideration at the time of clinical decision making which may prevent an adverse events survivor.PMID:37706372 | DOI:10.4103/ijmr.ijmr_3629_21

Association of < em > CYP3A5*3, CYP3A4*18 & amp; CYP2B6*6 < /em > polymorphisms with imatinib treatment outcome in Azerbaijani chronic myeloid leukaemia patients
CONCLUSIONS: Our results demonstrated that CYP3A4*18 was significantly associated with IM treatment response in patients with CML in Azerbaijan, whereas rather common CYP3A5*3 was identified to have no such association.PMID:37706370 | DOI:10.4103/ijmr.ijmr_1103_22

Correlation of < em > CYP2R1 < /em > gene promoter methylation with circulating vitamin D levels among healthy adults
CONCLUSIONS: This study found no significant correlation between levels of CYP2R1 methylation and circulating 25(OH)D deficiency. Further studies on the Indian population having a larger sample size including entire vitamin D tool genes, among different ethnic groups may be conducted to elucidate molecular etiology of circulating 25(OH)D deficiency. The high prevalence of normal serum calcium and phosphate levels among vitamin D deficient subjects in this study coupled with the strikingly high prevalence of the deficiency at the national level, may suggest the need to revise the cut-off criteria for vitamin D deficiency in...

Spatio-temporal distribution & amp; seasonality of highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 & amp; H5N8 outbreaks in India, 2006-2021
CONCLUSIONS: Such studies on the seasonality of HPAI outbreaks would help in the development of prevention and control strategies. The recent human infections of H5N1 and H9N2 viruses highlight the need to strengthen surveillance in wild, resident, migratory birds and in poultry along with One Health studies in India.PMID:37675691 | DOI:10.4103/ijmr.ijmr_2002_22
