Outcome of Superficial Temporal Artery-to-Middle Cerebral Artery Bypass in Appropriately Selected Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke
Conclusions: Urgent STA-MCA bypass for progressive stroke may result in a good prognosis if the right patients are selected and may play an important role in cases treated 24 h after onset in whom endovascular treatment is ineffective.

Borderzone Infarction and Small Vessel Disease in a Sample of Egyptian Stroke Patients: Differences and Similarities
Conclusion: Limb shaking, retinal claudication or syncope, with MRI showing rosary pattern of white matter hyperintensity, few microbleeds and markedly impaired perfusion favor the diagnosis of borderzone infarctions. On the other hand, presence of lacunae, FLAIR showing symmetrical WMH and microbleeds with minimal or no perfusion deficit suggests the diagnosis of small vessel disease.

Role of CT Perfusion in Identifying the Core and the Potentially Salvageable Penumbra in Patients with Acute Non Haemorrhagic Stroke - Experience at Tertiary Care Center
CONCLUSION: CT Perfusions study being easily available, faster and cost effctive modality to identfy patients of acute ischemic strokes having salvagable penumbra for which further can be subjected to revasculrization therapy. It is strongly recommended that CT Perfusion should be made an integral part of acute non-haemorrhagic stroke management protocol, wherever the facility is available.PMID:34781606
