To study the efficacy and safety of intravenous thrombolysis for the older acute ischemic stroke patients, clinical data were prospectively analyzed from 168 patients with acute ischemic stroke including 42 older adult patients (ET group), 66 younger patients (NET group) treated with rt-PA, and 60 older adult patients treated without rt-PA (ENT group). Infarct volumes of patients with acute ischemic stroke receiving direct oral anticoagulants due to non-valvular atrial fibrillation

Assessing autonomic nervous function by heart rate variability and heart rate turbulence in patients with acute ischemic stroke
Conclusions: Combined evaluation of HRV and HRT parameters may provide important information regarding the alterations in the ANS in patients with AIS. The utility of HRT in the determination of ANS alterations in patients with AIS should be investigated in larger future prospective studies.

A screening tool to detect stroke aphasia: Adaptation of frenchay aphasia screening test (FAST) to the Indian context

Aphasia in neurology practice: A survey about perceptions and practices
Conclusion: The thrust areas, pertaining to gaps in perception and practices identified through this study, can be viewed as “an in-time input.” We hope that changes in some of the perceptions and practices can be attained through an emphasis on education and training at multiple levels right from the undergraduate to the practicing physicians. A few more themes and domains will need advocacy actions targeted to different stakeholders.
