Patent Foramen Ovale and Ischemic Stroke in Patients With Pulmonary Embolism: A Prospective Cohort Study.
Conclusion: Frequency of recent ischemic stroke in patients with symptomatic PE was higher in patients with PFO than in those without PFO. ConclusionsIn AF patients taking VKAs, high SFMC levels were associated with the risk of adverse cardiovascular events, cardiovascular mortality and all-cause mortality. The addition of SFMC to the CHA2DS2-VASc score improved its predictive performance for these outcomes, but failed to show an improvement in clinical usefulness.

Comparative Effectiveness and Safety Between Apixaban, Dabigatran, Edoxaban, and Rivaroxaban Among Patients With Atrial Fibrillation : A Multinational Population-Based Cohort Study
CONCLUSION: Among patients with AF, apixaban use was associated with lower risk for GIB and similar rates of ischemic stroke or systemic embolism, ICH, and all-cause mortality compared with dabigatran, edoxaban, and rivaroxaban.
