Genetic polymorphisms of methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase C677T and risk of ischemic stroke in a southern Chinese Hakka population
In this study, a total of 1967 ischemic stroke patients and 2565 controls of Chinese Hakka ethnicity were recruited. Association between physical activity and stroke in a middle-aged and elderly Chinese population
Conclusions: Compared with low PA, vigorous PA, but not moderate PA, was associated with a lower risk of stroke in middle aged and elderly people in southern China, specifically among men. These findings suggested that increasing PA is beneficial.
