Building frameworks to map infection prevention and control in medical imaging: how methodologies affect our understanding
Health-care acquired infections are continuing to rise due to the increasing use of medical diagnosis and treatment provided in health service delivery such as medical imaging. Health care workers, such as diagnostic radiographers, can be considered vectors of transmission of infection and error in Medical Imaging Departments (MID). So, has the medical imaging community sought to study its risk, compliance or develop frameworks to map best practice in relation to infection prevention and control (IPC)?

Education and training of medical physics in Iran: The past, the present and the future
With the establishment of Tehran University in 1934, radiation physics education began. In 1966 the first radiation physics department was established in Tehran University of Medical Sciences focusing mainly on teaching radiography physics courses for medical students and related fields. The first master program of medical physics was established by Ahvaz Jundishapur University in 1976 before the Islamic revolution in 1979. After the revolution, the first master and doctorate medical physics students were admitted by Tarbiat Modares University in 1985 and 1989, respectively [1].

Multisite Implementation of Radiology-TEACHES (Technology-Enhanced Appropriateness Criteria Home for Education Simulation)
ConclusionsThis program is promising as a standardized educational resource for widespread implementation in developing health systems science curricula. Learners at multiple institutions judged this educational resource as valuable and, through this initiative, synthesized practice behaviors by applying evidence-based guidelines in a cost-effective, safe, and prudent manner.Graphical abstract

Towards an updated ESTRO-EFOMP core curriculum for education and training of medical physics experts in radiotherapy – A survey of current education and training practice in Europe
Radiotherapy (RT) is a highly technical therapeutic approach to treat cancer patients with ionising radiation. A thoroughly trained multidisciplinary team, including radiation oncologists, medical physicists, RT technicians/radiation therapists/radiographers and oncology nurses, has the responsibility to ensure a safe and effective treatment for all patients. As a scientist trained in fundamental physics and specialized in medical physics, the medical physicist has a unique role in this clinical team [1].

Utilization of an Internal Medicine Triaging Resident in the Emergency Department Reduces Preventable Admissions and Improves Trainee Experiences
CONCLUSIONS: Expansion of this model in select integrated health systems may improve graduate medical education and healthcare system performance. Future iterations of this study can aim to improve transitions of care between ambulatory and inpatient providers and limit the overuse of antimicrobial agents, radiography, and consultative services.PMID:36055659 | DOI:10.14423/SMJ.0000000000001434
