The link between enthesitis and arthritis in psoriatic arthritis: a switch to a vascular phenotype at insertions may play a role in arthritis development
Conclusions This study shows that the ultrasound appearances of subclinical enthesitis in psoriasis differ from the subclinical enthesitis in PsA, with PsA patients having more PD. This is suggestive of a more inflammatory or vascular process in PsA, and offers potentially novel insights into the progression from skin to joint disease in psoriasis.

The ability of synovitis to predict structural damage in rheumatoid arthritis: a comparative study between clinical examination and ultrasound
Conclusions This study confirms the validity of synovitis for predicting subsequent structural deterioration irrespective of the modality of examination of joints, but also suggests that both clinical and ultrasonographic examinations may be relevant to optimally evaluate the risk of subsequent structural deterioration.

Detection, scoring and volume assessment of bone erosions by ultrasonography in rheumatoid arthritis: comparison with CT
Conclusion In accessible areas, US was highly accurate for detection and semiquantitative assessment of RA bone erosion. Even the smallest erosions, only detected in one plane, were generally confirmed by CT.

Hepatocellular carcinoma after ablation: The imaging follow-up scheme.
Abstract Percutaneous ablation using thermal or chemical methods has been widely used in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Nowadays, contrast-enhanced imaging modalities such as computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) are widely used to evaluate local treatment response after ablation therapies. CEUS is gaining increasing attention due to its characteristics including real-time scanning, easy performance, lack of radiation, wide availability, and lack of allergy reactions. Several studies have documented that CEUS is comparable to CT or MRI...

Ultrasound-detected synovial abnormalities are frequent in clinically inactive juvenile idiopathic arthritis, but do not predict a flare of synovitis
Conclusion The authors found that ultrasound-detected synovial abnormalities are common in children with JIA in clinical remission. However, the presence of ultrasound pathology did not predict an early flare of synovitis in the affected joints.

In patients with early rheumatoid arthritis, the new ACR/EULAR definition of remission identifies patients with persistent absence of functional disability and suppression of ultrasonographic synovitis
Conclusions The new remission definitions confirmed their validity in an observational setting and identify patients with better disease control.
