Long non-coding RNA H19 regulates the development of gliomas through the Wnt/ β-catenin signaling pathway.
CONCLUSIONS: H19 was overexpressed in glioma tissues and glioma cell lines. Downregulation of H19 inhibited cell proliferation, invasion, and migration, arrested cell cycle progression in the G0/G1 phase, and induced cell apoptosis by restraining activation of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway in glioma cells. Therefore, H19 is a potential therapeutic target for glioma therapy. PMID: 31173296 [PubMed - in process]

Circ-CCDC66 accelerates proliferation and invasion of gastric cancer via binding to miRNA-1238-3p.
CONCLUSIONS: Circ-CCDC66 is highly expressed in GC tissues and cell lines. Knockdown of circ-CCDC66 attenuates proliferative and invasive abilities of GC cells. Our results indicate that circ-CCDC66/miRNA-1238-3p/LHX2 axis may be a promising target for GC treatment. PMID: 31173287 [PubMed - in process]

LncRNA NKILA inhibits invasion and migration of osteosarcoma cells via NF- κB/Snail signaling pathway.
CONCLUSIONS: NKILA was lowly expressed in osteosarcoma tissues. In addition, high expression of NKILA could suppress the migration and invasion of osteosarcoma cells by inhibiting the NF-κB/Snail signaling pathway. PMID: 31173281 [PubMed - in process]

The modulation of endometriosis by lncRNA MALAT1 via NF- κB/iNOS.
CONCLUSIONS: LncRNA MALAT1 can facilitate endometrial cell apoptosis and modulate MMP-9 expression via NF-κB/iNOS pathway, thus, mediating Ems pathogenesis. PMID: 31173276 [PubMed - in process]

KLF5 silence attenuates proliferation and epithelial-mesenchymal transition induction in Hep-2 cells through NF- κB signaling pathway.
CONCLUSIONS: These results revealed that silencing KLF5 expression reduced the proliferation, migration and invasion and EMT abilities by inhibiting the NF-κB pathway in Hep-2 cells. Our results suggest that KLF5 may be a potential therapeutic target in laryngeal carcinoma. PMID: 31115014 [PubMed - in process]

Linc00261 suppresses growth and metastasis of non-small cell lung cancer via repressing epithelial-mesenchymal transition.
CONCLUSIONS: We demonstrated that linc00261 was lowly expressed in NSCLC tissues and cells. It inhibited cell proliferation and metastasis by downregulating Snail expression via EMT. This might provide a novel sight for the biological treatment for NSCLC. PMID: 31115010 [PubMed - in process]

Long non-coding RNA 00152 promotes cell proliferation in cervical cancer via regulating miR-216b-5p/HOXA1 axis.
CONCLUSIONS: Our findings revealed a novel molecular mechanism underlying LINC00152 modulating CC progression through the miR-216b-5p/HOXA1 pathway, suggesting that LINC00152 might potentially act as an effective diagnostic marker and therapeutic target for cervical cancer. Astrocytes induce proliferation of oligodendrocyte progenitor cells via connexin 47-mediated activation of Chi3l1 expression.
CONCLUSIONS: Cx47/Chi3l1 plays an important role in the promotion of OPCs proliferation by ASTs. ASTs can promote the expression of Chi3l1 via Cx47 in OPCs, and then activate the expression of cyclin D1 and regulate the cell cycle of OPCs, thereby promoting cell proliferation. This study provides a new target for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. PMID: 31002152 [PubMed - in process]
