GSE128935 Endogenous siRNAs promote proteostasis and longevity in germline-less Caenorhabditis elegans
Contributors : Moran C Berkman ; Shani B Hemo ; Alla  Fishman ; Hiba W Ben-Asher ; Ayelet T Lamm ; Sivan Henis-KorenblitSeries Type : Non-coding RNA profiling by high throughput sequencingOrganism :How lifespan and the rate of aging are set is a key problem in biology. Small RNAs are conserved molecules that impact diverse biological processes through the control of gene expression. However, in contrast to miRNAs, the role of endo-siRNAs in aging remains unexplored. Here, by combining deep sequencing and genomic and genetic approaches in C.CaenorhabditisC. elegans elegans, we reveal an unprecedented role for endo-siRNA m...

GSE134803 Integrative analysis of genomic amplification-dependent expression and loss-of-function screen identifies ASAP1 as a driver gene in triple negative breast cancer progression
Conclusions: Genes with 2-fold changes (absolute Log2 FC ≥ 1) in down- or up-regulation were selected in BT549 (311 down / 495 up), Hs578T (133 down / 117 up) and SUM149PT (500 down / 401 up) cells, respectively. Consequently, 95 DEGs were downregulated, and 79 DEGs upregulated in ≥ 2/3 of the TNBC cell lines, in total 174 DEGs, which were considered as common DEGs that were susceptible to the depletion of the amplification-dependent ASAP1. 53 of these commonly differentially expressed transcripts were linked to relapse-free survival in TNBC patients.

GSE143548 Xrn1p Acts at Multiple Steps in the Budding-Yeast RNAi Pathway to Enhance the Efficiency of Silencing
Contributors : Matthew A Getz ; David P BartelSeries Type : Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing ; OtherOrganism : Naumovozyma castelliiRNA interference (RNAi) is a gene-silencing pathway that can play roles in viral defense, transposon silencing, heterochromatin formation, and post-transcriptional gene silencing. Although absent from Saccharomyces cerevisiae, RNAi is present in other budding-yeast species, including Naumovozyma castellii, which have an unusual Dicer and a conventional Argonaute that are both required for gene silencing. To identify other factors that act in the budding-yeast pathway, we perf...

GSE101850 Sorafenib resistance related circRNAs
Contributors : Xiujun Cai ; Junjie XuSeries Type : Non-coding RNA profiling by arrayOrganism : Homo sapiensSorafenib resistance up-regulated circRNA_104797 could be transmitted by exosomes and responsible for the spread of Sorafenib resistance among HCC cells. CircRNA_104797 was critical for Sorafenib resistance maintenance and silencing circRNA_104797 could substantially increase the efficacy of Sorafenib by inducing apoptosis. Mechanism dissection unveiled that circRNA_104797 could specifically sponge miR-103a-2-5p and miR-660-3p and act as a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA), thus competitively activated wnt/ β-catenin ...

GSE163042 Hepatocyte Host Factor IFI44L Regulates the Innate and Acquired Immune Responses to Hepatitis B Virus
Contributors : Takuto Nosaka ; Tatsushi Naito ; Hidetaka Matsuda ; Masahiro Ohtani ; Katsushi Hiramatsu ; Tsutomu Nishizawa ; Hiroaki Okamoto ; Yasunari NakamotoSeries Type : Expression profiling by arrayOrganism : Homo sapiensObjective: Curing hepatitis B requires the complete elimination of covalently closed circular DNA (cccDNA). Interferon (IFN)- γ is produced by cytotoxic T lymphocytes and has noncytolytic antiviral potential; however, elimination of cccDNA could not be achieved. To enhance the regulatory effect of IFN-γ, we comprehensively analyzed the host factors that associated with cccDNA amplification and IFN-...

GSE167197 Peroxisome import stress induces eIF2 α phosphorylation and impairs ribosome biogenesis
Contributors : Kerui Huang ; Jinoh Kim ; Pham Vo ; Ting Miao ; Mirre J Simons ; Hua BaiSeries Type : Expression profiling by high throughput sequencingOrganism : Drosophila melanogaster ; Homo sapiensPeroxisome biogenesis diseases (PBDs) are characterized by global defects in peroxisomal function and can result in severe brain, liver, kidney, and bone malfunctions. PBDs are due to mutations in peroxisome biogenesis factors (PEX genes) that are responsible for peroxisome assembly and function. Increasing evidence suggests that peroxisome import functions decline during aging. However, the transcriptome profiling of peroxiso...
