Asian sand dust increases MUC8 and MUC5B expressions via TLR4-dependent ERK2 and p38 MAPK in human airway epithelial cells.
CONCLUSIONS: These results show that ASD induces MUC8 and MUC5B expressions via TLR4-dependent ERK2 and p38 MAPK signaling pathway in human airway epithelial cells. PMID: 25975246 [PubMed - in process]

Staphylococcus enterotoxin A induces MUC5B expression via Toll-like receptor 2, extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2, and p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase in human airway epithelial cells.
CONCLUSION: These results show for the first time that SEA induces MUC5B expression via TLR2, ERK1/2, and p38 MAPK signaling pathway in human airway epithelial cells. PMID: 24717875 [PubMed - in process]

Effect of Onchocerca volvulus chitinase on MUC5B expression in human airway epithelial cells.
CONCLUSION: These results suggest that chitinase induces MUC5B expression by activation of the p38 MAPK signaling pathway in human airway epithelial cells. PMID: 23406586 [PubMed - in process]
