Rhinitis phenotypes and multimorbidities in the general population: the CONSTANCES cohort
Conclusions In this large population-based cohort, 40% reported current rhinitis, with a lower prevalence of moderate-to-severe rhinitis than in clinical practice. For the first time in a general adult population, we showed that AR and NAR alone or in combination with asthma or in combination with asthma and conjunctivitis are different phenotypes. These results provide new insights on how best to manage rhinitis and its multimorbidities.

Maternal diet during pregnancy with allergic and respiratory profiles in children
Conclusion: In a large nationwide cohort, maternal diet quality during pregnancy was weakly related to allergic and respiratory multimorbidity profiles up to 5.5 years. These preliminary results should be further explored by studying more specific food groups or scores.

Influence of asthma on ARIA classification of allergic rhinitis in the French population-based cohort Constances
Conclusion: This is a paradigm changing study as, for the first time we show how taking asthma status into account modify ARIA classification. Moreover, it was done in a large population-based study in adults. This study confirms that rhinitis alone and rhinitis and asthma represent two entirely different phenotypes. This new classification should be used for new guidelines.

Mepolizumab in a population with severe eosinophilic asthma and corticosteroid dependence: results from a French early access programme
This study aimed to characterise patients who received mepolizumab in the nATU. Methods This retrospective, observational study analysed data from the hospital medical records of patients up to 24 months after treatment initiation. Study objectives were to describe patient baseline characteristics, the evolution of disease severity and treatment modifications during follow-up; safety was also investigated. Findings Overall, 146 patients who received ≥1 dose of mepolizumab were included. At inclusion, patients had a mean age of 58.2 years with a mean severe asthma duration of 13.4 years, and 37.0% had re...

Breast-milk microbes and risk of asthma by 6 years of age
Conclusions: Our data supports breast-milk as a considerable source of early-life microbial exposure and provides the first indication that microbes in breast-milk may affect the risk of asthma and thus have prolonged impact on child health.

Specific IgE sensitization and asthma in French farmers
Conclusion: Our screening identified IgE reactivity in 41% of French farmers. The most common IgE reactivities were wasp venom, house dust mites, and grass pollens. Both allergic and non-allergic asthma were observed in this sample. Whether and how allergic sensitization is associated with the development of clinical manifestations of allergies in farmers needs further investigation.
