The effectiveness of culturally tailored video narratives on medication understanding and use self-efficacy among stroke patients: A randomized controlled trial study protocol
Discussion and conclusion:
The study should be able to determine if video narrative can induce a positive behavioral change towards stroke risk factor control via enhanced medication understanding and use self-efficacy. This intervention is innovative as it combines health belief, motivation, and role model concept to trigger self-efficacy in maintaining healthy behaviors and better disease management.

Determinants of life satisfaction among stroke survivors 1 year post stroke
This study recruited 376 stroke survivors (244 men and 132 women, mean age: 57 years) 1 year following stroke. Data on participants’ LS (measured using the Life Satisfaction Questionnaire [LiSat-11]), socio-demographics, and stroke-related variables were collected.

Association of apolipoprotein E genotype with outcome in hospitalized ischemic stroke patients

The aim of this study was to study the ability of the genotype to predict impairment and disability in hospitalized ischemic stroke (IS) patients after hospital discharge and 6 months after the onset of stroke symptoms.

Abstract: Stroke is one of the most common causes of physical disability, and early, intensive, and repetitive rehabilitation exercises are crucial to the recovery of stroke survivors. Efficacy and safety of clopidogrel and/or aspirin for ischemic stroke/transient ischemic attack: An overview of systematic reviews and meta-analysis
Conclusions:
High-quality evidence suggested that clopidogrel plus aspirin was more efficient than monotherapy, although the risk for hemorrhagic stroke was relatively higher in combined therapy regimens lasting>1 month.

Gait turning patterns in chronic ischemic stroke males and its relationship to recovery: A cross-sectional study
Discussion:
The presence of flexor synergy would significantly affect turning time, this would then correlate to the disability of shifting body's center of gravity, as a part of the Stroke core set of International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF).Therefore, stroke patients need to have early ambulatory training regarding pivoting motion rather than solely focusing on straight walking. Instead of hemiparetic side, it is possible that overall turning time is affected by coordination and orientation capability, signifying the importance of cortical plasticity.

Treatment of dysphagia after stroke with acupuncture and related therapies: A protocol for systematic review and network meta-analysis
