Fatigue in men and women who have returned to work after stroke - as assessed by the Fatigue Severity Scale and the Mental Fatigue Scale
CONCLUSION: Fatigue is common among persons who have returned to work after stroke, and interferes with daily life. The long-term consequences of fatigue should be addressed after stroke, especially in women. The FSS and the MFS can be used in combination, as they provide information on different aspects of fatigue.PMID:34383959 | DOI:10.2340/16501977-2863

Predicting institutionalization after Subacute Stroke Rehabilitation using the 12-Item World Health Organization Disability Assessment Schedule
CONCLUSION: Despite its brevity and subjectivity, the WHODAS-12 from proxies has shown high accuracy in predicting institutionalization after subacute rehabilitation of individuals with major stroke, the impact of participation being as relevant as that of activities.PMID:37548437 | DOI:10.2340/jrm.v55.6531

Rasch analysis of the UK Functional Assessment Measure in patients with complex disability after stroke.
CONCLUSION: The UK FIM+FAM with domain super-items satisfies expectations of the unidimensional Rasch model without the need for re-scoring. A conversion table was produced to convert the total scale scores into interval-level data based on person estimates of the Rasch model. The clinical benefits of interval-transformed scores require further evaluation. PMID: 29487943 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Cross-diagnostic scale-banking using Rasch analysis: Developing a common reference metric for generic and health condition-specific scales in people with rheumatoid arthritis and stroke.
CONCLUSION: This study provides a transformation table to enable direct comparisons among instruments measuring physical functioning commonly used in rheumatoid arthritis (HAQ) and stroke (FIMTM motor scale), as well as in people with disability in general (WHODAS 2.0). Sustained efficacy of incobotulinumtoxinA in upper-limb post-stroke spasticity: A post hoc analysis.
CONCLUSION: IncobotulinumtoxinA conferred sustained improvements in muscle tone, disability, and caregiver burden in subjects with upper-limb post-stroke spasticity. PMID: 33112408 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
