Association between oral anticoagulants and COVID-19-related outcomes: a population-based cohort study
CONCLUSION: Among those at low baseline stroke risk, people receiving OACs had a lower risk of testing positive for SARS-CoV-2 and severe COVID-19 outcomes than non-users; this might be explained by a causal effect of OACs in preventing severe COVID-19 outcomes or unmeasured confounding, including more cautious behaviours leading to reduced infection risk.PMID:35440465 | DOI:10.3399/BJGP.2021.0689

Impact of SARS ‐Cov‐2 infection in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy: results of an international multicentre registry
ConclusionsOver one-fourth of HCM patients infected with SARS-Cov-2 required hospitalization, including 6% in an ICU setting. Age and cardiac features related to HCM, including baseline functional class, left ventricular outflow tract obstruction, and systolic impairment, conveyed increased risk of mortality.

Cryoballoon Pulmonary Vein Isolation as First-Line Treatment for Typical Atrial Flutter
Conclusion Cryoballoon PVI as first-line treatment for AFL is equally effective compared with standard CTI ablation for preventing recurrence of atrial arrhythmia and better at preventing new-onset AF. Trial registration number NCT03401099.
