AbstractUnhealthy alcohol use, smoking, and depressive symptoms are risk factors for cardiovascular disease (CVD). Little is known about their co-occurrence – termed a syndemic, defined as the synergistic effect of two or more conditions—on CVD risk in people with HIV (PWH).
