Reversible Cerebral Vasoconstriction Syndrome with Multivessel Cervical Artery Dissections and a Double Aortic Arch
Reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome (RCVS) has been associated with exposure to vasoactive substances and few reports with cervical arterial dissections (CADs). We evaluated a 32-year-old woman with history of depression, migraines without aura, and cannabis use who presented with a thunderclap headache unresponsive to triptans. She was found to have bilateral occipital infarcts, bilateral extracranial vertebral artery dissections, bilateral internal carotid artery dissecting aneurysms, and extensive distal multifocal segmental narrowing of the anterior and posterior intracranial circulation with a “sausage on ...

Cerebral Venous Thrombosis: Clinical Features, Risk Factors, and Long-term Outcome in a Tunisian Cohort
Conclusions: Our Tunisian population presented distinct risk factors profile with high frequency of thrombophilia, infections, and postpartum state. Oral contraceptive use is not a major risk factor in our population. The overall prognosis was good.

In Vitro and In Vivo Evaluation of a Magnetic Resonance Imaging–guided Focused Ultrasound System for Dissolving Clots in Combination with Thrombolytic Drugs
Conclusions: The MRgFUS technique was proven successful in dissolving clots in vitro and in vivo. It was found that the volume of dissolved clot increases with acoustic intensity and beam size and decreases with frequency. With this system, it was possible to push ultrasound through a plastic phantom skull using a .5 MHz transducer. The beam of ultrasound through the phantom skull was monitored using the MRI technique of fast spoiled gradient. Finally, the thrombus in the in vivo model (ear artery) was successfully destroyed with the therapeutic protocols investigated in the in vitro models. This study shows that FUS ...

A Traveling “Spot Sign” in Recurrent Amaurosis Fugax and Central Retinal Artery Occlusion
In conclusion, this case report describes a single case of repeated amaurosis fugax and deterioration to CRAO via embolization into the central retinal artery and consecutive downstream dislodgment. It emphasizes that ultrasound may render valuable diagnostic information in patients with acute central retinal artery embolization toward its embolic etiology and its risk of subsequent deterioration.

Prothrombin Complex Concentrate (Beriplex P/N)–related Renal and Cerebral Infarctions in a Patient with Warfarin-associated Intracerebral Hemorrhage
A 45-year-old man receiving warfarin treatment suffered from an intracerebral hemorrhage. Four-factor prothrombin complex concentrate (PCC) was administered to correct coagulopathy. However, bilateral renal infarcts and a cerebral infarct developed on day 5 and 7, respectively after PCC administration. Although the occurrence of PCC-related thromboembolism is low, health care practitioners should closely follow-up the symptoms and signs of thrombosis after PCC administration.
