Predictive value of hemoglobin level on early neurological outcomes in acute ischemic stroke
CONCLUSIONS: We concluded that patients with higher baseline Hb level are at significantly higher risk for END, and less likely to reach stable or improving status at the early stage of stroke.PMID:35130819 | DOI:10.1080/01616412.2022.2035621

The Effects of Trunk and Extremity Functions on Activities of Daily Living, Balance, and Gait in Stroke
DISCUSSION: The results of this study showed that trunk functions are more related to ADL and balance than extremity functions. Therefore, trunk training should be included as a basic application in physiotherapy programs for stroke patients.PMID:36319611 | DOI:10.1080/01616412.2022.2142424

Oxidative stress and early mortality in acute ischemic stroke: A prospective cohort study
CONCLUSION: MDA serum level was significantly higher in non-survivors than in survivors patients, so MDA could be used as a predictor for early mortality and short-term outcome of cases with AIS.PMID:37652662 | DOI:10.1080/01616412.2023.2252284

Effects of extracorporeal shock wave therapy combined with isokinetic strength training on spastic calf triceps in patients after a stroke: a double-blinded randomised controlled trial
CONCLUSIONS: Extracorporeal shock wave therapy combined with IST can significantly improve calf triceps spasm in patients after a stroke.PMID:37668321 | DOI:10.1080/01616412.2023.2255413

Peripheral electrical stimulation on neuroplasticity and motor function in stroke patients: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Conclusions Electrostimulation is able to promote neuroplasticity and increase motor function, generating positive effects in the treatment of individuals with post-stroke sequelae.PMID:37732768 | DOI:10.1080/01616412.2023.2257419

Quantitative assessment and correlation analysis of cerebral microbleed distribution and leukoaraiosis in stroke outpatients.
DISCUSSION: Cerebral microbleed incidence increased with age. Mixed CMB type displayed the highest incidence. The severity and number of CMBs at any location correlated with LA severity. These results suggested interactions between hypertension and CAA during LA progression. PMID: 25875577 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
