ConclusionThe prevalence of macro- and micro-vascular complications were very high in Bangladesh and majority of them are key drivers for hospitalization and increased healthcare cost. An improvement of primary prevention strategy for complications is urgently needed which in turn will reduce the long-term healthcare cost for type 2 diabetes in Bangladesh.

Association between high sensitivity C-reactive protein and metabolic syndrome in subjects completing the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2009–10

The relationship between dietary intake and other cardiovascular risk factors with blood pressure in individuals without a history of a cardiovascular event: Evidence based study with 5670 subjects
Conclusion In our representative population from North-Eastern Iran, it appears that in adults without a history of cardiovascular disease, crude or energy adjusted intake of phosphorus and total fatty acid intake were significant determinants of BP, however we found no association between sodium and potassium intake with BP.

Prevalence of hypertension and prehypertension in adolescence in Ahvaz, Iran
Conclusions The prevalence of high blood pressure was found to be lower than other studies in our country. The prevalence of the high blood pressure in boys was significantly higher than girls. This study, like other studies showed high correlation between being overweight and an increase in systolic and diastolic blood pressure.

Prevalence of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Complications among Palestinians with T2DM
Conclusions The present cross-sectional study shows poor glycemic control in Palestine, while blood pressure and lipids are less poorly controlled. The study emphasizes the need to optimize the glucose-lowering treatment and to implement diabetes care program that could face the challenge of high uncontrolled diabetes as well as complications of diabetes.
