Increased Neutrophil-to-lymphocyte Ratios are Associated with Greater Risk of Hemorrhagic Transformation in Patients with Acute Ischemic Stroke.
CONCLUSIONS: Higher level of NLR is associated with greater risk of hemorrhagic transformation in patients with acute ischemic stroke, especially in cardio-embolic stroke. Moreover, the results suggest that therapeutic interventions that may increase the risk of bleeding should be undertaken carefully in the management of AIS patients with higher NLR. Vulnerable Carotid Plaque is Associated with An Increased Risk of Intracerebral Hemorrhage in Individuals at High Risk of Stroke: A Chinese Population-based Cohort Study
CONCLUSION: In Chinese individuals at high risk of stroke, vulnerable carotid artery plaques are associated with an increased risk of intracerebral hemorrhage independent of classical vascular risk factors, especially in female individuals.PMID:37438901 | DOI:10.2174/1567202620666230712114927

Association between Mean Platelet Volume and Hemorrhagic Transformation in Acute Ischemic Stroke Patients.
CONCLUSION: Risk of HT increased with increasing MPV level in a dose-dependent manner. Patients with elevated MPV levels were more likely to develop HI rather than PH. PMID: 31878855 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]

Nomogram to Predict Symptomatic Intracranial Hemorrhage after Intravenous Thrombolysis in Acute Ischemic Stroke in an Asian Population
CONCLUSION: The nomogram consisted of the predictors NIHSS, OTT, NLR, and cardioembolism could be used as an auxiliary tool to predict the individual risk of sICH in Chinese AIS patients after IVT. Further external verification among more diverse patient populations is needed to demonstrate the accuracy of the model's predictions.PMID:34951382 | DOI:10.2174/1567202619666211223150907
