Conclusion The high prevalence of comorbidities in patients with stroke indicates the need for therapies in preclinical studies that take into account these comorbidities in order to avoid failures in translation to the patient. Out-of-hospital emergency medicine in Germany, Austria and Switzerland : Randomized prospective studies from 1990 to 2012.
CONCLUSION: A significant increase or decrease in the number of prospective randomized clinical trials in the out-of-hospital setting could not be found in German speaking countries despite the fact that the absolute numbers of studies had increased. Only about one prospective, randomized clinical trial with an emergency medicine core tracer diagnosis originated from Germany, Austria and Switzerland per year.
