Changes in blood pressure and cardiovascular disease in middle-aged to older Chinese: the Guangzhou Biobank Cohort Study
Conclusion: Most people between 50 and 70 years of age and not taking antihypertensive medication maintained a slow increase SBP trajectory over a follow-up period of approximately 7 years. However, those whose SBPs increased from low and moderate levels were associated with higher CVD risks.

Neurologically asymptomatic patients frequently present cerebral injuries during malignant hypertension: a MRI study
Conclusion: PRES, recent hematoma, ischemic stroke and severe cerebral microangiopathy are common findings in MHT patients without neurological signs on admission. The impact of these findings on patient management, and their cerebrovascular and cognitive prognostic value, should be established. Brain MRI might need to become systematic in patients suffering from MHT episodes.

Global burden of cardiovascular diseases attributable to hypertension in young adults from 1990 to 2019
Conclusions: Hypertension attributable CVDs burden in young adults has greatly increased from 1990 to 2019, with considerably spatiotemporal and sexual heterogeneity. The largest burden was borne by middle-income countries, especially by men. Establishment of geographically and sexually tailored strategies were needed to prevent hypertension-related CVDs in young adults.

Risk factors predisposing to acute stroke in India: a prospective study

Novel insights into stroke risk beyond resting and maximal bicycle exercise systolic blood pressure

Comparative effects of intensive-blood pressure versus standard-blood pressure-lowering treatment in patients with severe ischemic stroke in the ENCHANTED trial
Conclusion: Intensive BP lowering is associated with increased mortality in patients with severe AIS despite lowering the risk of ICH.
