Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome in a postpartum hemorrhagic woman without hypertension: A case report
Rationale: Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES), which diagnosis is based on clinical symptoms and radiological features, is a neurotoxic disease characterized by a set of clinical manifestations, such as seizure, headache, visual, and/or consciousness disturbance. It is the first case of PRES followed by postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) without underlying disease.
Patient concerns: A 37-year-old healthy woman had PPH after caesarean section. Six days after delivery, headache occurred suddenly, followed by episodes of clonus seizure.

Safety and efficacy of Cardi-O-fix occluder for percutaneous closure of a patent foramen ovale: A single-center prospective study
Conclusions: There was no significant difference in the short- and mid-term efficacy and safety between the Cardi-O-fix PFO occluder and Amplatzer PFO occluder. The efficacy and safety of the Cardi-O-fix occluder were comparable to those of the Amplatzer PFO occluder.

A case of cerebral hyperperfusion following spontaneous recanalization of occluded middle cerebral artery: Reperfusion injury or true cerebral hyperperfusion syndrome?
Conclusion: In cases with signs of both CHS and reperfusion injury, we speculate that CHS may be both a contributor to and a manifestation of reperfusion injury.

Correlation between Calpain-10 single-nucleotide polymorphisms and obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnoea syndrome with ischemic stroke in a Chinese population: A population-based study
Conclusion: These findings indicate that the Calpain-10 SNP 43 may be related to OSAHS with IS, with SNP 43 GG genotype as a risk factor for OSAHS with IS.

Association of CYP2J2 gene polymorphisms with ischemic stroke and stroke subtypes in Chinese population
In this study, genotyping was performed by using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) sequencing for 202 IS patients and 206 age- and sex-matched controls. Odds ratios (ORs) and confidence interval (CI) were estimated by multivariate logistic regression and PCR results were confirmed by DNA sequencing.
