Rationale and design to assess the efficacy and safety of HT047 in patients with acute ischemic stroke: A multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group, phase II trial
This study is a 1st-in-human trial of HT047 to explore the efficacy and safety in acute ischemic stroke patients. The results will provide the appropriate dosage and evidence of therapeutic benefit of HT047 for stroke recovery.

Swallowing apraxia in a patient with recurrent ischemic strokes: A case report
Rationale:
Swallowing apraxia is defined as dysfunction in oral phase caused by the deficit in the coordination of tongue, lip, and chin movements, without motor weakness, sensory loss, and cognitive decline and has not been reported yet.

Percutaneous mechanical circulatory support devices in high-risk patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention: A meta-analysis of randomized trials
Conclusions:
Neither LVADs nor IABP improves short or long-term survival in hr-PCI patients. LVADs are more likely to reduce repeat revascularization after PCI, but to increase the risk of bleeding events than IABP.

Immediate effects of the respiratory stimulation on ventilation parameters in ischemic stroke survivors: A randomized interventional study (CONSORT)
Conclusion:
A single application of respiratory stimulation through PNF positively affect air flow in the respiratory tract. Application of PNF stimulation contributed to an increase in the FEV1/FVC% parameter. However, no positive changes were noted in the other parameters, which would provide proof of the beneficial effect of facilitation on the respiratory system function.

Gait turning patterns in chronic ischemic stroke males and its relationship to recovery: A cross-sectional study
Discussion:
The presence of flexor synergy would significantly affect turning time, this would then correlate to the disability of shifting body's center of gravity, as a part of the Stroke core set of International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF).Therefore, stroke patients need to have early ambulatory training regarding pivoting motion rather than solely focusing on straight walking. Instead of hemiparetic side, it is possible that overall turning time is affected by coordination and orientation capability, signifying the importance of cortical plasticity.

Hyperglycemia is associated with poor in-hospital outcome in elderly patients with acute ischemic stroke
This study used PSM and strongly suggests that FPG is an independent predictive factor of poor in-hospital outcome in elderly patients with AIS. High initial FPG levels after admission may predict poor in-hospital outcome. Prospective studies are needed to confirm these findings.

Systematic review with network meta-analysis: Diagnostic values of ultrasonography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging in patients with ischemic stroke

This network meta-analysis provides supporting evidence to the idea that DWI has a higher diagnostic value regarding ischemic stroke among MRI methods, and CTP has a poor diagnostic value among CT methods, which provide therapeutic considerations for Ischemic stroke intervention.

Ischemic stroke in the combined territories of the septum pellucidum and the cingulate gyrus: A case report and literature review
Conclusions:
Infarction in the septum pellucidum and cingulate gyrus is rare and has atypical clinical manifestations. Physical examination may not yield obvious positive signs. False-negative computed tomography findings of the head may result in misdiagnosis. Thus, it is necessary to perform whole-brain magnetic resonance imaging in time. Carotid plaque magnetic resonance imaging and recurrent stroke risk: A protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis

Improving neuropsychiatric symptoms following stroke using virtual reality: A case report
Rationale:
Post-stroke cognitive impairment occurs frequently in patients with stroke, with a 20% to 80% prevalence. Anxiety is common after stroke, and is associated with a poorer quality of life.
