Disparities in Comorbidities in Lung Cancer: Findings From the Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System
Conclusion
Findings show that there may be differences in patterns of comorbidities among individuals with lung cancer. As we continue to move toward individualized medicine in cancer care, future work in this area should examine social determinants of health and how they may influence the patterns of comorbidities.

Conclusion
Stoke risk factors are increasing among young people; they still have poor knowledge about SWSs. More education is needed to increase appropriate treatment, especially in young people with stroke-related risk factors.

Diabetes training for community health workers on an American Indian reservation
ConclusionThis QI program provided by a public health nurse improved CHW's knowledge of diabetes and the management of diabetes. Parastomal hernia and physical activity. Are patients getting the right advice?
This article draws on a large nationwide survey (2631 respondents) that investigated the physical health and wellbeing of people living with stomas in the UK. It specifically considers the findings relating to parastomal hernia (where additional loops of bowel protrude through the abdominal wall around the stoma, creating a bulge). Students' Perceptions of a Tobacco Education Intervention
Persons living with a mental illness represent an especially vulnerable and disadvantaged subgroup of smokers. Compared to those in the general population, they smoke more, die younger, and suffer disproportionately from cardiovascular disease, diabetes, stroke, and cancer, all diseases and conditions directly associated with, and exacerbated by, smoking. Despite strong evidence that tobacco cessation counseling by a health professional can approximately double patients' odds of quitting, clinicians across disciplines are reluctant to offer these individuals effective means by which to quit smoking.
