Efficacy of nafamostat mesilate as anticoagulation during cardiopulmonary bypass for early surgery in patients with active infective endocarditis complicated by stroke.

Stroke is not a treatment dilemma for early valve surgery in active infective endocarditis.

Aortic Valve Replacement in Redo-Scenarios: A Comparison Between Traditional Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) and Transapical-TAVR from Two Real-World Multicenter Registries.
CONCLUSIONS: Outcome differences between RAVR and TaTAVR in redo-scenarios reflect methodological differences and different baseline risk profiles. Mitral regurgitation in left ventricular noncompaction cardiomyopathy assessed by cardiac MRI.

Ventricular energetics early after surgery for chronic mitral regurgitation: repair versus replacement.
CONCLUSION: Compensation of LV geometry after correction of chronic MR preserved ventricular contractility. Furthermore, the results of MV repair were not superior to those of MV replacement with partial chordal preservation in the early postoperative period. Postoperative warfarin following mitral valve repair or bioprosthetic valve replacement.

Quantification of low-gradient severe aortic stenosis using a hybrid approach combining Doppler echocardiography and thermodilution.
CONCLUSION: The hybrid method is reasonably accurate in assessing AVA in patients with low-gradient severe AS.
