Analysis of Clinical Characteristics and Influencing Factors for H-Type Hypertension Complicated with Other Chronic Diseases in a Community in Beijing
CONCLUSION: The incidence of H-type hypertension is higher in people ≥55 years old. Most of them are accompanied by three other chronic diseases: smoking, drinking, little exercise, and no light diet are also risk factors for chronic diseases.PMID:36159579 | PMC:PMC9499743 | DOI:10.1155/2022/6974065

Tetrahydropalmatine Alleviates Hyperlipidemia by Regulating Lipid Peroxidation, Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress, and Inflammasome Activation by Inhibiting the TLR4-NF- < em > κ < /em > B Pathway
In conclusion, these data indicate that THP attenuates HLP through a variety of effects, including antioxidative stress, anti-ER stress, and anti-inflammatory effects. In addition, THP also inhibited the TLR4-NF-κB signaling pathway in golden hamsters.PMID:34760017 | PMC:PMC8575622 | DOI:10.1155/2021/6614985

Characteristic of Clinical Studies on Baduanjin during 2000-2019: A Comprehensive Review.
Authors: Zhou J, Yu Y, Cao B, Li X, Wu M, Wen T, Xiong Y, Jia J, Zhao Y Abstract To date, a growing number of clinical studies have demonstrated the safety and health benefits from Baduanjin intervention. Based on this, our objective is to systematically retrieve and summarize the clinical studies on Baduanjin, with a view to providing more evidence-based evidence in support of the application of Baduanjin for healthcare, and to identify the shortcomings of existing research and provide feasibility suggest for further clinical research. Both four English language and four Chinese language electronic databases were ...

Fasting Plasma Glucose and Coronary Heart Disease in a Rural Population of North Henan, China.
In conclusion, among the nondiabetic women in rural areas of northern Henan, both the incidence of CHD and the severity of lesions increased when FPG levels were greater than 5.2 mmol/L, while no significant correlation between FPG and CHD was observed in diabetes-free men. PMID: 33101438 [PubMed]

Chemical Profiling of Xueshuan Xinmaining Tablet by HPLC and UPLC-ESI-Q-TOF/MS.
Authors: Han YX, Wang PF, Zhao M, Chen LM, Wang ZM, Liu XQ, Gao HM, Gong MX, Li H, Zhu JZ, Liu CG Abstract Xueshuan Xinmaining Tablet (XXT) is a widely used traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of stroke, chest pain, coronary heart disease, and angina pectoris caused by blood stasis. Having a multiple-component preparation, it is still far from meeting the requirements of modernization and standardization because its detailed chemical basis and action mechanism have not been clarified. In this work, the different batches of XXT samples were analyzed by HPLC and the typical sample was analyzed by UPLC-ESI-...

Moxibustion-Simulating Bipolar Radiofrequency Suppresses Weight Gain and Induces Adipose Tissue Browning via Activation of UCP1 and FGF21 in a Mouse Model of Diet-Induced Obesity.
Conclusion: Heat stimulation by M-RF treatment induced upregulation of UCP1 and FGF21 expression in serum and/or WATs, which was correlated with reduced total body and WAT weight gain in DIO mice. PMID: 30275865 [PubMed]

Identification of "Multiple Components-Multiple Targets-Multiple Pathways" Associated with Naoxintong Capsule in the Treatment of Heart Diseases Using UPLC/Q-TOF-MS and Network Pharmacology.
Authors: Ma X, Lv B, Li P, Jiang X, Zhou Q, Wang X, Gao X Abstract Naoxintong capsule (NXT) is a commercial medicinal product approved by the China Food and Drug Administration which is used in the treatment of stroke and coronary heart disease. However, the research on the composition and mechanism of NXT is still lacking. Our research aimed to identify the absorbable components, potential targets, and associated pathways of NXT with network pharmacology method. We explored the chemical compositions of NXT based on UPLC/Q-TOF-MS. Then, we used the five principles of drug absorption to identify absorbable ingredien...

Natural Products for Antithrombosis.
Authors: Chen C, Yang FQ, Zhang Q, Wang FQ, Hu YJ, Xia ZN Abstract Thrombosis is considered to be closely related to several diseases such as atherosclerosis, ischemic heart disease and stroke, as well as rheumatoid arthritis, hyperuricemia, and various inflammatory conditions. More and more studies have been focused on understanding the mechanism of molecular and cellular basis of thrombus formation as well as preventing thrombosis for the treatment of thrombotic diseases. In reality, there is considerable interest in the role of natural products and their bioactive components in the prevention and treatment of th...
