The association between the body height and cardiovascular diseases: a retrospective analysis of 657,310 outpatients in Germany
ConclusionWe present the first data from a large cohort of outpatients in Germany providing strong evidence for an association between the body height and common CVD. These data should stimulate a discussion as to how far the body height should be implemented as a parameter in stratification tools to assess CVD risk in order to further reduce cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in the future.

Conclusions and relevanceAmong patients with atrial fibrillation, heart failure, or treatment-resistant hypertension, the NICC approach was not superior over SoC, despite a significant reduction in all-cause mortality, stroke, myocardial infarction and cardiac decompensation.Trial registration ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT03317951.

Ventricular arrhythmia burden in patients with implantable cardioverter defibrillator and remote patient monitoring during different time intervals of the COVID-19 pandemic
ConclusionsThe lockdown measures necessary to reduce the risk of infection during the COVID-19 pandemic, led to a reduction of in-person patient visits, but did not result in a deterioration of the arrhythmic and clinical condition of ICD patients with remote patient monitoring.
