Hemorrhagic PRES: A Rare Neurological Manifestation of COVID -19 Infection
In this report, we discuss the diagnosis and outcome of a 30-year-old patient detected with Posterior Reversible Encephalopathy Syndrome (PRES) as a complication of COVID-19 infection. We hope this report will provide physicians with a useful framework for understanding pathophysiology and imaging findings of PRES in COVID-19 infection.PMID:35438289

Spectrum of Cerebral Venous Thrombosis in Uttarakhand.
Conclusion: Septic CVT prognosis had better than non septic CVT. Hence, CVT presents with wide range of presentations and anticoagulation is the treatment. Septic CVT if intervened timely with proper antibiotics have better prognosis. Antibiotics are the mainstay of therapy for septic CVT. PMID: 31325261 [PubMed - in process]

Interesting Case of Stroke.
We report regarding a 46 year old female patient, who presented with complaints of severe headache and right sided weakness. Examination revealed right Hemiplegia with BP of 144/90 mm Hg. Investigations revealed Creatine Kinase: 470IU/L, normal Blood counts, ESR and CRP. Thyroid profile was normal. Fibrinogen levels were 17.9mg/dl and repeat test after 1 week showed 24.6mg/dl. Clinical Profile of Hypertensive Emergencies in an Intensive Care Unit.
CONCLUSIONS: most common presenting complaint in patients was breathlessness seen in 17 patients (34%), followed by neurological deficit in 14 patients (28%). Thirteen patients (26%) had complaints of headache, whereas 12 (24%) patients complained of chest pain on admission. Other symptoms included vomiting, giddiness, psychomotor agitation, and decreased urine output. Out of a total of 4076 admissions during the study period in the intensive care unit we had 50 cases of hypertensive emergencies with prevalence of 1.22% in our intensive care unit.
