Immunocompetent pml--an immunological scotoma?
We describe two cases of progressive multifocal leucoencephalopathy (PML) presenting as stroke in the immunocompetent. A 73-year-old man with a background of treated prostate carcinoma presented in October 2013 with a right hemiplegia; a diagnosis of lacunar infarction was made following CT. However, he progressed with increasing pyramidal weakness, ataxia, dysphasia and dysarthria. MRI in December revealed confluent T2 and FLAIR hyperintense white matter change with normal DWI. Synchronous cerebral arteriovenous malformation and lung adenocarcinoma carcinoma brain metastases: A case study and literature review.

A rare cause of headache-the importance of a tissue diagnosis and perseverance
A 64 year old diabetic hypertensive milkman presented in September 2011 with 4 months progressive constant right frontotemporal retro–orbital pain. It was worse at night affecting sleep with slight right field blurring and later vomiting. Full examination including blood pressure was normal with acuities 6/9. E-067 Endovascular Approach in the Repair of the Middle Cerebral Artery Aneurysm Including Those with Wide Neck and Complex in Morphology-A Case Series
ConclusionsEndovascular repair of the MCA aneurysm inclosing those with wide neck and complex are not only safe and feasible, but associated with high long-term functional outcome. E-224 Bilateral external carotid artery sacrifice in massive refractory hemorrhage of the pharynx: a case report
This report suggests that bilateral ECA embolization may be safe in acute settings. In this report, the bleeding did not respond to conservative or surgical management and ECA embolization was used as a life-saving procedure in order to stop massive bleeding. Bilateral external carotid artery embolization is rarely employed because of the high risk of facial necrosis. Additionally, ECAs are also assumed to serve as potential blood reservoirs, particularly in the case of ICA occlusion where the ipsilateral ECA can significantly contribute to intracranial blood flow via collaterals.
