Development of a self-assessment score for metabolic syndrome risk in non-obese Korean adults.
CONCLUSIONS: This simple risk score may be used to identify individuals at high risk for MetS without laboratory tests among non-obese Korean adults. Further studies are needed to verify the usefulness and feasibility of this score in various settings. PMID: 28244698 [PubMed - in process]

Relationship between dietary patterns and brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity among middle-aged adults in Japan.
CONCLUSIONS: Our findings suggest that a dietary pattern characterized by high consumption of vegetables, seafood, seaweed, fruit, and pulse is inversely associated with arterial stiffness measured by baPWV. This diet offers an additional nutritional approach to the prevention and treatment of arterial stiffness. PMID: 28429921 [PubMed - in process]
