Probable REM sleep behavior disorder and risk of stroke: A prospective study
Conclusions: Presence of pRBD was associated with a higher risk of developing stroke, including both ischemic and hemorrhagic types. Future studies with clinically confirmed RBD and a longer follow-up would be appropriate to further investigate this association.

The effect of 24 hour post-intravenous alteplase CT head on management decisions: a single center experience (S47.004)
Conclusion: For 95[percnt] of asymptomatic patients, a 24 hour post-alteplase CT head had no clinical impact. Antithrombotic treatment was delayed by asymptomatic hemorrhage in 2/3 of patients, depriving them of early antiplatelet therapy that reduces the risk of stroke within the first 14 days (Lancet. 349:1569-81). With an estimated 30,000 doses of alteplase given in US, cost of routine CT screening is significant at $6.6 million per year (Jt Comm J Qual Patient Saf. 41:313-22), and there is increased risk of cancer from radiation of 1/10000 (Arch Intern Med. 169:2078-86). Clinical Outcomes of Metastatic Intra-cerebral Hemorrhage and Role of Acute Radiotherapy (P3.077)

Recurrence of ICH after resumption of anticoagulation with VK antagonists: CHIRONE Study
Conclusions: Our results show that patients with a history of ICH carry a significant risk of recurrent ICH when treated with VKA anticoagulation. The risk is also present, though to a lower degree, in patients with previous posttraumatic events. All patients with a history of ICH require a careful evaluation of their thromboembolic risk to estimate the net clinical benefit of (re)starting anticoagulation with VKAs.

Predictive Risk Factors of In-Hospital Mortality Following Acute Stroke in the United States: Data from the Nationwide Inpatient Database, 2006-2010 (P02.015)
CONCLUSIONS: The rate of in-hospital mortality is relatively high following acute stroke (8.42%). We identified multiple risk factors of in-hospital mortality in acute stroke patients.
