An Approach to the Concept of Tonic: Suggested Definitions and Historical Aspects
In traditional medicine, especially CAM, the concept of (herbal) tonics has a long history in the different medical systems (TEN -- Traditional European Naturopathy; TCM - Traditional Chinese Medicine). Nevertheless, the ideas concerning the function of a tonic differ, e.g., stimulation of body functions, strengthening of organ function, enhancement of adaption, and well-being. Lösungsvorschläge für Probleme in der integrativmedizinischen Weiterbildung von Ärzten an anthroposophischen Kliniken Deutschlands und der Schweiz
Hintergrund: Im Rahmen einer erstmaligen Untersuchung zu Qualität und Problemen der integrativmedizinischen Weiterbildung der anthroposophisch-medizinischen (AM) Kliniken Deutschlands und der Schweiz wurden alle 240 Assistenzärzte und alle 214 Weiterbilder gleichzeitig nach möglichen Maßnahmen zur Problemlösung befragt. Methode: Die Studie umfasste eine Querschnittserhebung mit Fragebögen inklusive Freitextfeldern. Die potenziellen Maßnahmen zur Problemlösung wurden über Freitextantworten erfragt.
