Can therapeutic reassessment in ODF be based on management principles?
CONCLUSIONS: Management is unsuitable for eliminating the need for therapeutic re-evaluation because, through the deployment of the organizational mode which is consubstantial with it, it is opposed to the institutional order of which any therapeutic approach is a part.PMID:38699911 | DOI:10.1684/orthodfr.2024.144 (Source: L' Orthodontie Francaise)

Orthognathic surgery: a significant tool for reassessment
CONCLUSION: As it is far from ideal to keep offering similar therapies that lead to the same pitfalls, it is time for a shift in the paradigm.PMID:38699912 | DOI:10.1684/orthodfr.2024.145 (Source: L' Orthodontie Francaise)

Resorptions and orthodontics
CONCLUSION: There are still many grey areas in our understanding of the phenomenon, including how the elements of orthodontic treatment influence orthodontic resorption. Irreversible in nature, resorption can be sufficiently extensive to cast doubt on the benefit of successful orthodontic treatment.PMID:38699914 | DOI:10.1684/orthodfr.2024.148 (Source: L' Orthodontie Francaise)

Temporomandibular Disorders and Orthodontics: how to conduct a screening examination?
CONCLUSION: In the context of an orthodontic treatment, the screening examination for common TMD includes gathering information (interview), a clinical evaluation, and possibly complementary investigations. The orthodontist is supported in this approach through the development of a clinical form and a dedicated synthetic decision tree for the screening of TMDs. Systematically screening for common TMD before initiating orthodontic treatment allows the orthodontist to suggest additional diagnostic measures, implement appropriate therapeutic interventions, and/or refer to a specialist in the field if necessary.PMID:38699915 |...

Therapeutic reassessment of impacted or transposed teeth
This article explores the evolving landscape of therapeutic strategies for impacted or transposed teeth, emphasizing a multidisciplinary and patient-centered approach.RESULTS: By adopting a multidisciplinary approach involving orthodontists, oral surgeons, and other dental specialists, clinicians can tailor treatment plans to address individual needs and optimize outcomes.DISCUSSION: Therapeutic reassessment of impacted or transposed teeth represents a paradigm shift in modern dentistry, emphasizing personalized care, minimally invasive techniques, and interdisciplinary collaboration.PMID:38699916 | DOI:10.1684/orthodfr.20...
