Emerging Adulthood Measured at Multiple Institutions 2: The Data
Collaborators from 32 academic institutions primarily in the United States collected data from emerging adults (Nraw = 4220, Nprocessed = 3134). Participants completed self-report measures assessing markers of adulthood, IDEA inventory of dimensions of emerging adulthood, subjective well-being, mindfulness, belonging, self-efficacy, disability identity, somatic health, perceived stress, perceived social support, social media use, political affiliation, beliefs about the American dream, interpersonal transgressions, narcissism, interpersonal exploitativeness, beliefs about marriage, and demographics. The data are available ...

Data from Paper ‘Terror Management in a Multicultural Society: Effects of Mortality Salience on Attitudes to Multiculturalism Are Moderated by National Identification and Self-Esteem Among Native Dutch People’
The dataset includes data from the two studies reported in our‘Terror Management in a Multicultural Society’ paper. The data was collected at the psychology lab at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2013/2014 among Dutch-speaking student samples. The dataset consists of the measures described in the paper. The data can be used for replication purposes, meta-analyses, and exploratory analyses, as well as cross-cultural comparisons of mortality salience effects. The authors also welcome collaborative research based on re-analyses of the data. Published on 2018-09-17 14:41:25 (Source: Journal of Open Psychology Data)

Psychological Perturbation Data on Attitudes Towards the Consumption of Meat
We present a dataset on participants ’ attitudes towards the consumption of meat (N = 30). Participants were presented with a baseline questionnaire entailing 11 statements. After a baseline measurement, we perturbed the participant’s opinion on one of the 11 items, after which the participant completed the same questionnaire. By r epeating this procedure for each of the 11 items, we measured to what extent the perturbation changed the participant’s baseline score. In addition, we asked participants to draw the influence of a specific item onto the other items in a network format. The data are suitable for various pur...

Data from, ‘Web-based Positive Psychology Interventions: A Reexamination of Effectiveness’
We present two datasets. The first dataset comprises 992 point-in-time records of self-reported happiness and depression in 295 participants, each assigned to one of four intervention groups, in a study of the effect of web-based positive-psychology interventions. Each point-in-time measurement consists of a participant ’s responses to the 24 items of the Authentic Happiness Inventory and to the 20 items of the Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression (CES-D) scale. Measurements were sought at the time of each participant’s enrolment in the study and on five subsequent occasions, the last being approximate ly 189 ...

Estimates of Between-Study Heterogeneity for 705 Meta-Analyses Reported in < i > Psychological Bulletin < /i > From 1990 –2013
We present a data set containing 705 between-study heterogeneity estimates τ2as reported in 61 articles published inPsychological Bulletin from 1990 –2013. The data set also includes information about the number and type of effect sizes, theQ- andI2-statistics, and publication bias. The data set is stored in the Open Science Framework repository (https://osf.io/wyhve/) and can be used for several purposes: (1) to compare a specific heterogeneity estimate to the distribution of between-study heterogeneity estimates in psychology; (2) to construct an informed prior distribution for the between-study heterogeneity in psych...

Selected ICAR Data from the SAPA-Project: Development and Initial Validation of a Public-Domain Measure
These data were collected during the initial evaluation of the International Cognitive Ability Resource (ICAR) project. ICAR is an international collaborative effort to develop open-source public-domain tools for cognitive ability assessment, including tools that can be administered in non-proctored environments (e.g., online administration) and those which are based on automatic item generation algorithms. These data provide initial validation of the first four ICAR item types as reported in Condon& Revelle [1]. The 4 item types contain a total of 60 items: 9 Letter and Number Series items, 11 Matrix Reasoning items, ...

Taxonomic and Thematic Relatedness Ratings for 659 Word Pairs
These data are comprised of taxonomic and thematic relatedness ratings for 300 target words paired with taxonomically related and/or thematically related words for a total of 659 word pairs. The pairs come from 4 prior studies and were normed through surveys provided online using Amazon ’s Mechanical Turk. Pairs were rated in terms of both their taxonomic similarity and their thematic relationship. The data are provided as comma-separated (.csv) and R data (.rdata) files and can be used to create new studiesinvestigating taxonomic and thematic semantic processing. A Large Dataset of Generalization Patterns in the Number Game
We present a dataset with 272,700 two-alternative forced choice responses in a simple numerical task modeled after Tenenbaum ’s “number game” experiment [6]. Subjects were shown a set (e.g. {16, 12}) and asked what other numbers were likely to belong to that set (e.g. 1, 5, 2, 98). Their generalization patterns reflect both rule-like (e.g. ‘even numbers,’ ‘powers of two’) and distance-based (e.g. ‘numbers near 50’) generalization. This dataset is available for further analysis of these simple and intuitive inferences, developing of hands-on modeling instruction, and attempts to understand how probability ...

Psychology Data on the Effects of Study Schedules on Category-Member Classification
Subjects (N = 100) studied a series of 6 natural exemplars (birds) from each of 12 different categories (families). Birds were presented in one of 4 ways: (1) blocked by category; (2) intermixed; (3) first blocked, then intermixed; or (4) first intermixed, then blocked. Following study, subjects judged the likelihood that they would be able to classify new birds belonging to families that had been studied earlier. Finally, subjects were asked to classify 6 new birds from each of 12 studied families. The data were collected in the laboratory and are stored usingfigsharein an Excel file alongside an annotation file. The data...

Relative Meaning Frequencies for 100 Homonyms: British eDom Norms
This data set contains British-English ratings of meaning frequencies for 100 homonyms, i.e., words with multiple unrelated meanings (e.g., “money/river bank”). The homonyms were carefully selected based on linguistic principles, dictionary entries, and subjective ratings, and were validated for future studies examining meaning-frequency effects on homonym processing. Meaning frequencies were rated by 100 native British-English spea kers (living throughout the UK) using the eDom norming procedure. The norms are available athttp://osf.io/7k3eh/. Data from ‘Critical Slowing Down as a Personalized Early Warning Signal for Depression’
We present a dataset of a single (N = 1) participant diagnosed with major depressive disorder, who completed 1478 measurements over the course of 239 consecutive days in 2012 and 2013. The experiment included a double-blind phase in which the dosage of anti-depressant medication was gradually reduced. The entire study looked at momentary affective states in daily life before, during, and after the double-blind phase. The items, which were asked ten times a day, cover topics like mood, physical condition and social contacts. Also, depressive symptoms were measured on a weekly basis using the Symptom Checklist Revised (SCL-9...
