Management of "stone pain" between the 18th and 19th centuries: A brief history of a medical prescription in the Viceroyalty of New Granada
CONCLUSIONS: There is scientific evidence that could explain the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects of all plant-derived medicines used in this prescription. Abundant water intake to increase urine volume was an essential part of treatment. However, the lack of more precise data related to the prescription and the evolution of the patients makes it difficult to analyze its therapeutic efficacy.PMID:33744022 | DOI:10.1016/j.acuro.2020.11.005 (Source: Actas Urologicas Espanolas)

Concomitant intraductal carcinoma of the prostate and response to hormonal therapy in metastatic prostate carcinoma
CONCLUSIONS: IDC-P seems to be a subtype of prostate cancer that is associated with a shorter response to hormonal treatment when compared to acinar adenocarcinoma in metastatic patients. New drugs in CRPC scenario as abiraterone and enzalutamide also obtained less response in IDC-P patients. In daily clinical practice it might be interesting to take into account that patients with IDC-P may present shorter responses to first and second line hormonal treatments.PMID:33712315 | DOI:10.1016/j.acuro.2020.06.017 (Source: Actas Urologicas Espanolas)

Urological management and surgical procedures in migrants from Sub-Saharan Africa with urogenital schistosomiasis
CONCLUSION: An increasing number of migrants from SSA diagnosed with UGS has been observed. Some patients required a surgical intervention for suspected neoplastic lesions or end-stage organ damage. It was particularly difficult to perform a regular follow-up in several patients. Further multicentric studies are needed to reach a proper standard in diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of subjects with UGS.PMID:33685664 | DOI:10.1016/j.acuro.2020.03.016 (Source: Actas Urologicas Espanolas)
