Monkeys in a cage
Watching a patient in an altered mental state sit in a bed, I realized that if my patient were a monkey, and my relationship with my patient were governed by a laboratory's animal care and use committee, I would be cited or censured for not providing enough activities for my lab monkey. But there is no one to cite me. So my patient sits in a room, isolated, a TV on in the corner, a sad lonely primate. (Source: hemodynamics)
