Correspondence regarding: Review Article: Ocular Syphilis

We read with great interest the review article on ocular syphilis published in your journal. 1 Furtado and Smith should be congratulated for the excellent article which has addressed the re-emergence of syphilis and highlighted the varied presentations of ocular syphilis. The article mentions vitritis associated with retinitis and chorioretinitis. We would like to point out that intermediate uveitis, in itself, is an important manifestation of ocular syphilis, specifically in immunocompetent individuals.
