Conclusions: SRU patients with DD are typically unresponsive medical treatments. Ameliorating anorectal dyssynergia should be the priority of treatment in these patients. BFT is an effective treatment for DD. BFT enhances the healing of ulcers in patients with SRU by restoring coordination of the pelvic floor.
