Non-nurse faculty in schools of nursing

We want to applaud Algase et al. for their provocative article on non-nurse faculty (NNF) in schools of nursing. We appreciate the courage it takes to open a dialogue to discuss a difficult and controversial topic of our own making. The authors have done an excellent job of providing the history of NNFs within nursing as well as discussing the consequences of including NNFs in schools of nursing.
