Closing Thoughts Regarding Surgical Attire

I wish to commend Dr Svetanoff and colleagues on their stellar publication, “Debunking the myth on surgical site infection,” which appeared in the Journal of the American College of Surgeons, March 2021.1 The authors subsequently revisited this topic with yet another masterful contribution appearing in the July 2021 issue,2 Letters section.3 In both instances, they very clearly enumerate and illustrate the rigorous vetting required to generate bona fide actionable clinical recommendations. The precision logic by which the chaff is separated from the wheat provided highly educational and enjoyable reading.
