Follow 1 hour ago 1 hour ago One would hope it's more to do with decisions about teaching style and the uni's organisation (i.e. the collegiate environment) than presumed "prestige" :p Something to note also is that while medical school does not directly affect your prospects when applying to specialty posts, the pass rate averages for the postgrad professional exams (e.g. MRCS/MRCP etc) of different medical schools does vary a fair bit. While I don't think having to take the exam multiple times necesasrily makes a difference in terms of whether you are accepted for specialty training or not (I could be wrong though!) it does make the difference of potentially needing to take a year out after the foundation programme to take it again, and you would obviously need to spend more time and money (I gather they're quite expensive!) to tak...
