Vomiting can be related to benign causes easily treated with supportive measures or can signal a life-threatening condition that requires hospitalization. Identification of the red flags will aid in early diagnosis and prevent further complications that may arise from dehydration and metabolic abnormalities. Obtaining an in-depth history and physical examination will help identify if simple measures can alleviate or improve this symptomatology or if further workup is required.
