Advances in Equine Ambulatory Medicine and Surgery

Major advancements have been made in recent years that have increased the diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities of the ambulatory practitioner. Point-of-care ultrasound and digital radiology are now widely available in addition to stall-side blood analyzers, which allow a more efficient diagnosis to expedite treatment in the field, or referral, resulting in better outcomes and survival.
