Sleeve Gastrectomy with tailored 360 ° fundoplication according to Rossetti in patients affected by obesity and gastro-esophageal reflux
We commend the authors for a remarkably interesting study [1], that makes efforts to answer an important clinical question: the gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD) and bariatric surgery. The reflux disease identified in the preoperative work-up or as a complication of the bariatric surgery represents a matter of debate that will continue in the upcoming years and your manuscript brings some important information despite the relative low number of cases. The authors included in the current study [1] 53 patients who underwent Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy (LSG) with tailored 360 ° fundoplication according to Rossetti technique.
