Concurrent epithelioid hemangioma and diffuse cavernous hemangioma in the rectum clinically mimicking a malignant tumor: a case report

We report a case of epithelioid hemangioma and diffuse cavernous hemangioma that co-occurred in the rectum. To our knowledge, this is the first report in which two rare vascular lesions coexisted. Because both epithelioid hemangioma and diffuse cavernous hemangioma are often clinically confounded by malignant tumors, differentiating these benign lesions from other possible malignant tumors is significant.
