Skin and Soft Tissue Infections

Everyone will personally experience a skin and soft tissue infection at one time or another. Some are trivial; most are simple to manage and more of a nuisance than a health threat. Others are devastating, life and limb threatening. This issue of Infectious Disease Clinics of North America is devoted to the diagnosis and management of those skin and soft tissue infections that are most commonly encountered in clinical practice as well as those that present the greatest risks to health if not quickly identified and appropriately treated.
