Early Follow-up After Colorectal Surgery Reduces Postdischarge Emergency Department Visits

This study’s aim was to determine whether early follow-up with the surgical team reduces 30-day emergency department visits. DESIGN: This retrospective cohort study used a central data repository of clinical and administrative data for 2013 through 2018.
