Semin Musculoskelet Radiol 2020; 24: 579-590 DOI: 10.1055/s-0040-1701632Dental and facial trauma are very common in a daily routine radiology practice. Knowledge of the functional anatomy of the mandibulofacial and maxillofacial regions forms the cornerstone of a thorough full radiologic evaluation of the patient with a dental and/or facial trauma. Cone beam computed tomography and multidetector computed tomography are currently considered the imaging modalities of choice.
