Trauma Tube Thoracostomy is Associated with Increased Risk of Posttraumatic Empyema in Geriatric Patients

Posttraumatic empyema has been associated with worse clinical outcomes. We investigated the impact of age on the incidence and outcomes in patients who sustained chest injury and were diagnosed with empyema.
