Electrocardiographic Findings in Severely Obese Bariatric Patients vs Non-Obese: A Matched Control Study
Obesity is associated with alterations in cardiac morphology. Common electrocardiogram (ECG) abnormalities occurring with high frequency in obese subjects include leftward axis shift, changes in P-wave morphology, low QRS-voltage, among others. We aim to determine if the prevalence of ECG abnormalities is higher among severely obese patients when compared with non-obese patients.
